Lexa: Nobody Prologue

Intentions



Axel watched with a smirk as Ela slipped through the dark whole in the ground. "Ah... It's all falling into place."

"Good job, Axel." Xemnas' low voice echoed throughtout the pale room. "Your mission was to bring her to me and you made her heart vulnerable. I sense a strong Nobody will come from her."

"Heh... yes, I sensed that, too. I just wished that, you know, it was easier on her."

"Why does it matter? The outcome justifies the means..." Xemnas exited the room with a portal of darkness.

Everyone followed suit, untill all but Axel and Saix remained. Their presence was filled with tension. And nothing, even the memories of their past, can break it.

"Isa?" Axel spoke slowly. "Do you think he'll ever come back?"

The blue haired berserker flinched at the mention of his former name. He sighed slowly, slightly agitated. "Le-- Axel. He was born under unusual circumstances. Who knows if he'll ever be normal again."

Axel sighed. "I was afraid you'd say that..."

Saix opened a portal, and Axel blurted out, "You should give me more credit, you know. About me befriending her and letting her go... it was all a part of the act. A way to have her trust me. A way to get this plan to finally work so I can have my best friend back!"

Saix didn't show any emotion to Axel's claim. "That may what it appears to be on the outside, number VIII. But this kind of behaivor, with you, will allways surprise you. Did you expect your friendship with Roxas?" Without another word, he exited the room, leaving a pondering Axel behind.
